If you don't already know how to get desired results, it has to do with MEETING or NOT MEETING his/her preferences. Check to see the results. You'll find your answer very soon. The more wisely positive reinforcements are used will be reflected in the experience and behavior of the patient.
The more regularly + more wisely positive reinforcements are used and preferences met, the more satisfied the patient's experience will be. The patient just acts better because he psychologically feels better.
