At present, they speak of going into women's prison and teach those that are incarcerated...how to put their stories into a stand-up comedy routine. Those who participated, benefitted greatly from this endeavor. It brings to mind the quote - ''If you can laugh at it, you can live with it.''

---I was thinking that something similar would benefit many of the folks who live at the hospital. Many, like the incarcerated women, have tremendously rich stories, but NO interesting way to vent them. This is only one way...but, it IS a way to benefit some of the folks that are here at the hospital.

He has memory challenges and couldn’t access music himself. Memory good due to familiarity with words to songs. Many, many more…

 

Each resident has a point-of-entry…it just must be found and explored.
